Digimon Alysion Card Types and Six Colors Explained

Digimon Alysion card types (Digimon, Digi-Egg, Tamer, Option) and six colors—Red, Blue, Yellow, Green, Black, Purple—with official role summaries.

10/29/2026 Pre-launch Last updated: 10/29/2026 4 min read

Digimon Alysion cards belong to four types and six colors, using the same vocabulary as the Digimon Card Game on the official System page. Types tell you where a card plays; colors signal strategy and digivolution rules. Pair this reference with how to play for turns and memory, and with BD-01 New Evolution for the first booster mix of legacy and Alysion-only cards.

What are the four card types in Digimon Alysion?

The official System page names Digimon, Digi-Egg, Tamer, and Option cards. Detailed unique rules per type beyond the short official blurbs are Not announced here—we only repeat what BANDAI publishes.

Digimon cards

Digimon cards handle offense and defense, including attacks on the opposing player. Face elements on the official page include:

  • DP — Digimon strength; higher DP wins battles between fighting cards.
  • Play Cost — Cost to play the card; moves memory toward your opponent by that amount.
  • Digivolve Cost — Cost to digivolve onto a stack.
  • Effects — Special abilities on the card.
  • Traits — Characteristics such as form, attribute, and type.
  • Inherited Effect — Can activate when the card is stacked through digivolution.

Individual card DP and cost numbers are Not announced in public lists pre-launch.

Digi-Egg cards

Digi-Egg cards are Digimon you hatch from the breeding area during the Breeding Phase. Your Digi-Egg deck holds up to five of them, as described in how to play.

Tamer cards

Tamers support you in battle. Official examples mention effects such as gaining memory or drawing cards. Other Tamer effect categories are Not announced beyond what each printed card will show at launch.

Option cards

Options can change the course of battle with various one-shot effects. Timing restrictions for Options in the app are Not announced separately from the physical rulebook.

What do the six colors do in Digimon Alysion?

Each color ships with unique effects and digivolution requirements, per the System page. Below is a faithful paraphrase of BANDAI one-line roles—not a tier list or meta forecast.

Color pairing rules, hybrid cards, and ban lists are Not announced. Shiny, Alt-Art, and Premium Alt-Art variants are cosmetic layers on cards you open from packs—see Alysion vs Digimon Card Game for how the app handles rarities at a high level.

How do Alysion cards relate to physical Digimon Card Game cards?

The app includes existing Digimon Card Game cards plus new Alysion cards (PR and store copy). Pre-registration can grant physical-game card numbers such as BT1-025 WarGreymon and BT1-044 MetalGarurumon; details sit on pre-registration reward cards. Whether every legacy effect text matches the paper card Not announced.

Card text languages cover Japanese, English, Simplified Chinese, and Korean on official materials. App UI also lists Traditional Chinese, but Traditional Chinese card text is not listed among card languages—check languages and regions for the matrix.

Where can I learn rules that use these cards?
